Travel Made Simple: What a Travel Advisor Actually Does
Nadège Normil of On Pointe Travel used her ten minutes to answer the question most people never ask out loud: what does a travel advisor actually do, and why does it cost me nothing extra? Through the Fora Travel network and her Virtuoso membership she has access to perks you cannot book yourself: room upgrades, resort credits, early check-in and late check-out, usually at no added cost. She books hotels, cruises, custom itineraries, tours and experiences, villas, transfers, Disney, getaways and flights, for solo travelers through corporate incentive groups. Booking window for the hot destinations — Italy, Greece, Portugal, Japan — is 9 to 12 months out. She closed with “I plan, you pack, let’s go,” and picked up two referrals in the room before the meeting ended.
